٤٠٢ - سليمان بن إبراهيم بنِ عمرَ، نفيسُ الدين، الزبيديُّ. ولد سنة ٧٤٥، أجازه البلقيني، وابن الملقن، والعراقي، والهيثمي، والمناوي، قال في "البدر الطالع": برع في الحديث، وصار شيخ المحدثين ببلاد اليمن، وحافظَهم، وأخذ عنه الناس طبقة بعد طبقة، وارتحلوا إليه من الآفاق، وتلمذ له من لا يحيط به الحصر.حدث عن نفسه: أنه قرأ "البخاري" أكثر من خمسين مرة، ووصفه شيخه - صاحب "القاموس" -، فقال: إمام السنة، وأما ابن حجر، فقال في أنبائه: إنه مع محبته للحديث وإكبابه على الرواية غير ماهر فيه، انتهى. مات في سنة ٨٣٥، رح.
