    ٣٩٠ - جلال بن أحمد التباني. كان عالمًا كبيرًا، قال في "البدر الطالع": انتهت إليه رئاسة الحنفية، وعرض عليه القضاء غير مرة، فأصر على الامتناع، وقال: هذا أمر يحتاج إلى دراية ومعرفة اصطلاح، ولا يكفي فيه مجرد الاتساع في العلم. له مصنف في منع تعدد الجمعة، وآخر في أن الإيمان يزيد وينقص، وكان محبًا للحديث، حسنَ الاعتقاد، شديدًا على الاتحادية والمبتدعة، مات في سنة ٧٩٣ بالقاهرة عن بضع وستين سنة.
