٣٨٦ - وفي "البدر الطالع" في ترجمة الحافظ ابن كثير عمادِ الدين بن إسماعيل بن عمر. برع في الفقه والتفسير والنحو، وأمعن النظر في الرجال والعلل. ومن جملة مشايخه: شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية، ولازمه، وأحبه حبًا عظيمًا كما ذكر معنى ذلك ابن حجر في "الدرر"، وأفتى ودرَّس، وله تصانيف مفيدة، منها: التفسير المشهور، وهو في مجلدات، وقد جمع فيه فأوعى، ونقل المذاهب والأخبار والآثار، وتكلم بأحسن كلام وأنفسه، وهو من أحسن التفاسير، مات في سنة ٧٧٤ - رحمه الله تعالى -.
