٢٩٨ - محمد بن سعد بنِ عبدِ الأحد، الحرانيُّ، الإمامُ شرفُ االدين. سمع من ابن البخاري وغيره، وطلب الحديث، وقرأ بنفسه وتفقه وأفتى، وصحب الشيخ تقي الدين بن تيمية ولازمه. وكان صحيح الذهن، جيد المشاركة في العلوم، من خيار الناس وعقلائهم وعلمائهم، دفن بالبقيع سنة ٧٢٣،- وفي تلك السنة توفي الشيخ الإمام محمد بن محمود الجيلي نزيل بغداد -، وكان فاضلاً، له مصنف في الفقه سماه: "الكفاية"، ذكر فيه أن أحمد نصَّ على أن من وصى بقضاء الصلاة المفروضة عنه، نفذت وصيته.
