٢٦٤ - يوسف بن علي بنِ البقال، البغداديُّ الصوفيُّ، أبو الحجاج. كان صالحًا عالمًا ورعًا زاهدًا، له تصانيف في السلوك، حكي عنه: أنه قال: كنت بمصر زمن وقعة بغداد، فبلغني أمرُها، فأنكرته بقلبي، وقلت: يا رب! كيف هذا وفيهم أطفال، ومن لا ذنب له؟! فرأيت في المنام رجلًا وفي يده كتاب، فأخذته، فإذا فيه: دعِ الإعتراضَ، فما الأمرُ لك ... ولا الحكمُ في حركات الفلك توفي سنة ٦٦٨، وقيل: سنة ٦٦٦، والله أعلم.
