٢٤٩ - عبد الله بن محمد بنِ أحمدَ بنِ قدامةَ المقدسيّ. ولد سنة ٥٧٨ بدمشق، وسمع بها من جماعة؛ وببغداد من ابن الجوزي، وحدَّث، أثنى عليه جماعة من الحفاظ والفقهاء، توفي سنة ٦٤٣. ذكر ابن رجب في ترجمته: أن القاضي نجم الدين قال: رأيت رسول الله ﷺ في المنام - في صورة أخي موسى -، قال: وكان أثر ذلك أن تحول إلى حالة عظيمة في الخير والزهد وترك الدنيا، انتهى. قلت: ورأيت: - أنا - رسولَ الله ﷺ في صورة رجل صالح عامل بالحديث، فكان هذا المنام سببَ اشتغالي بعلم الحديث ومحبته - ولله الحمد -، حتى آل الأمر الآن إلى ما آل، والله أعلم بحقيقة الحال.
