١٨٢ - يعقوب بن إبراهيم بن أحمد القاضي، أبو يعلى. سمع الحديث، وولي القضاء ثم عزل نفسه عنه، ذكره السمعاني، وقال: كانت له يدٌ قويةٌ في القرآن والحديث والفقه والمحاضرة. قال ابن الجوزي: حدث، وروى عنه أشياخنا، انتهى. وكان مباركَ التعليم، لم يدرس عليه أحد إلا أفلح، وصار فقيهًا. وله المقامات المشهورة بالديوان حتى يقال: إنه كعمرو بن العاص، والمغيرة بن شعبة من الصحابة في قوة الرأي، له تصانيف ممتعة. واختار جواز أخذ الزكاة لبني هاشم - إذا مُنعوا حقَّهم - من الخمس. توفي سنة ٤٨٦، وقيل سنة ٤٨٠.
