١٧١ - أبو محمد، عبد الله البردانيُّ، الزاهدُ. قال الإمام العالم المقرىء زينُ الدين أبو الفرج عبدُ الرحمن بن شهاب الدين أبو العباس أحمدُ بن حسن بن رجب الحنبليُّ - رحمه الله تعالى - في كتابه "الطبقات" في ذكر المترجَم له: كان منقطعًا في بيت بجامع المنصور يتعبد فيه خمسين سنة. [لا رهبانية في الإسلام] روى عنه أبو بكر المرزوقي الفرضيُّ: أنه قال: رأيت النبيَّ ﷺ في المنام، فقال لي: يا عبد الله! من تمسك بمذهب أحمد في الأصول، سامحته فيما اجترح، أو فيما فرط في الفروع، توفي رح. سنة ٤٦١، ودفن في مقبرة الإمام أحمد، رح.
