١٦٧ - محمد بن عبد الواحد بنِ أحمدَ، الحافظُ، الحجةُ، الإمام، ضياءُ الدين السعديُّ، الدمشقيُّ الصالحيُّ. ولد سنة ٥٦٩، ولزم الحافظ عبد الغني، وحفظ القرآن، ورحل إلى بغداد، وسمع من ابن الجوزي وغيره، وسمع بمكة، وأجازه السلفي وخلقٌ كثير. قال المزي: هو أعلم من الحافظ عبد الغني، ومن مؤلفاته: "الأحاديث المختارة"، و"مناقب أصحاب الحديث"، و"النهي عن سب الصحابة"، وبنى مدرسة، وجعلها دارَ حديث، ووقف عليها كتبه، توفي سنة ٦٤٣.
