١٥٧ - عبد الصمد بنُ عبدِ الوهاب بنِ الحسنِ بن عساكر، الإمامُ، المحدثُ، الزاهد، أبو اليمن، الدمشقيُّ نزيلُ الحرم. سمع من جده، ومن ابن الزبيدي، وابن غسان، وأجاز له أبو روح الهروي، وطائفة، وحدث بالحرمين بأشياء، وكان جيد المشاركة في العلوم. وكان شيخَ الحجاز في وقته، وله تآليف في الحديث. وله سنة ٦١٤، وتوفي سنة ٦٨٧.
