١٥٢ - عبد الرحمن بن محمد بن إدريس أبو محمد بنُ أبي حاتمِ، التميميُّ، الحنظليُّ. الإمام بنُ الإمام، الحافظ بن الحافظ، سمع أباه وغيره. قال ابن مندَهْ: صنف ابن أبي حاتم "المسند" في ألف جزء، وله "مقدمة الجرح والتعديل"، و"اختلاف الصحابة والتابعين وعلماء الأمصار"، وله "الجرح والتعديل (١) " في عدة مجلدات تدل على سَعَة حفظه وإمامته، وكتاب "الرد على المجسمة"، وله تفسير كبير - سائره آثار مسندة - في أربع مجلدات. وكان يُعد من الأبدال، وقد أثنى عليه جماعة بالزهد والورع التام، والعلم والعمل، توفي في المحرم سنة ٣٢٧ - رحمه الله تعالى -.
