١٦ - أَبو عبد الله، الحسين بن الحسين بن محمد بن حليم الفقيه الشافعي، المعروف بالحليمي الجرجاني. ولد بجرجان سنة ٣٣٨، وحمل إلى بخارى. وكتب الحديث: عن أبي بكر، محمدِ بن أحمد بن حبيب وغيره، وتفقه على أبي بكر الأودني، وأبي بكر القفال، ثم صار إمامًا معظمًا مرجوعًا إليه بما وراء النهر، وله في المذاهب وجوه حسنة، وحدَّث بنيسابور، وروى عنه الحافظ الحاكمُ وغيره. وتوفي في جمادى الأولى، وقيل: في شهر ربيع الأول سنة ثلاث وأربع مئة ﵀، ونسبته إلى جده حليم المذكور.
