٣٤٨ - الفضل بن محمد بن على الشيخ أبو على الفارمدى الطوسى. من أهل طوس وفارمذ إحدى قراها. قال ابن السمعانى: تفقه على الإمام أبى حامد الغزالى، واتصل بالشيخ أبى القاسم الكرمانى وتزوج بابنته، وصحب الأستاذ أبا القاسم القشيرى أيضًا، وسمع الحديث من أبى حامد الغزالى وغيره، وكان قد انفرد في عصره بالتذكير. مات بطوس سنة سبع وسبعين وأربعمائة. قال ابن السمعانى: وأولاده أبو المحاسن على وأبو الفضل محمد وأبو بكر عبد الواحد، وكانوا كلهم علماء زهَّاد فضلاء.
