١٦٧٨ - المزى الحافظ جمال الدين يوسف بن الزكى عبد الرحمن بن يوسف القضاعى الكلبى المزى. نسبة إلى المزة -بكسر الميم قرية بظاهر دمشق، كان أحفظ من أدركناه، ذا رواية، إمامًا في اللغة والتصريف خيّرًا طارحًا للتكليف، صنف "تهذيب الكمال"، و"الأطراف"، ودرس بالأشرفية وأجاز لى كتابه، ولد بظاهر حلب سنة أربع وخمسين وستمائة، واستوطن دمشق إلى أن مات بها في دار الحديث الأشرفية ثانى عشر صفر من سنة اثنين وأربعين وستمائة.
