    ١٦٦٠ - يونس بن عبد الحميد بن على الأرمنتى. نسبة إلى أرمنت من الصعيد، ولد سنة أربع وأربعين وستمائة، تفقه على المجد القشيرى وأجازه بالفتوى، وأعاد بالشريفية بمصر، وسمع الرشيد العطار وغيره، وصنف الجمع، والفرق، والخلاف، وولاه قاضى القضاة تقى الدين ابن بنت الأعز قضاء أخميم، ثم لم يزل ينتقل إلى أن تولى الأعمال القوصية فأقام بها مدة، ثم مات ملسوعًا سنة خمس وعشرين وسبعمائة بظاهر قوص، أنشدنا عنه قاضى القضاة عز الدين بن جماعة من شعره:"شرط الكفاءة ستة قد حررت ... في كتبه ينبئك عنها بيت شعر مُفْرد نسب ودين وصنعة حرية فقد ... العيوب وفى اليسار تَرَدُدِ" فكان كذلك لم يخرج حتى لسعه ثعبان فمات.
