١٤٧٢ - أحمد بن إبراهيم بن عمر شيخ المشايخ عز الدين أبو العباس الفاروقى الواسطى. ولد بها سنة أربع عشرة وستمائة، قرأ القراءات على والده وسمع من السُهروردى وغيره، ولبس منه خرقة التصوف، وأسمع، وكان شيخ الظاهرية ومعيد الناصرية ومدرس النجيبية، ثم ولى خطابة البلد بعد زين الدين بن المرحل، وكان خطيبًا بليغًا فإذا فرغ من الصلاة ربما خرج يلبس السواد ويشيع الجنائز، وزار بعض الأكابر وهو لابسها، فاتفق أنه عزل عن الخطابة. بموفق الدين بن حبيش الحموى فتألم لذلك وتركالجهات، ومات بواسط سنة أربع وتسعين وستمائة.
