١٤٦١ - محمد بن أحمد بن على قطب الدين أبو بكر المصرى ثم المكى المعروف بالقسطلانى. ولد بمصر سنة أربع عشرة وستمائة، وسمع بها الحديث من جماعة، وتفقه وأفتى ثمرحل سنة سبع وأربعين، فسمع بالشام والجزيرة وبغداد واستقر بمكة وكان ممن جمع العلم والعمل والهيبة والورع والكرم، طلب من مكة وفوضت إليه مشيخة دار الحديث الكاملية بالقاهرة إلى أن مات في المحرم سنة ست وثمانين وستمائة، ومن شعره: "إذا طاب أصل المرء طابت فروعُه ... ومن غلط جاءت يد الشوك بالورد وقد يخبث الفرع الذى طاب أصله ... ليظهر صنع اللَّه في العكس والطَّرْد".
