١٣٩٨ - عمر بن محمد بن عبد اللَّه بن حمويه الشيخ شهاب الدين السهروردى. شيخ شيوخ العراقيين بالعراق في زمانه وصاحب "عوارف العارف"، ولد ببلده سنةتسع وثلاثين وخمسمائة، وصحب الشيخ عبد القادر وعمه عبد القاهر فإنه كفله لما قتل أبوه وهو ابن ستة أشهر وأخذ عنه التصوف والوعظ والحديث والفقه وبرع في الفقه على ابن فضلان أيضا له مشيخة في جزء لطيف وحدَّث ووعظ، مات سنة اثنين وثلاثين وستمائة ببغداد، أثنى عليه ابن النجار كثيرًا.
