١٣٦٨ - على بن الخطاب بن مقلد المقرئ أبو الحسن الواسطى المجدبى. نسبة إلى مجدب من قرى واسط الضرير، تفقه على أبى القاسم بن فضلان، وبرع ودرس وأفتى وسمع وأقبلت عليه الدنيا في آخر عمره، وجالس المستنصر باللَّه أمير المؤمنين، قيل كان يقرأ في رمضان تسعين ختمة وفى باقى السنة في كل يومين ختمة، مات سنة تسع وعشرين وستمائة، عن تسع وستين سنة.
