١٣٥٨ - إسفنديار بن الموفق بن محمد بن يحيى الأستاذ أبو الفضل البوشنجى. الواعظ الأديب وهو جد الواعظ المشهور نجم الدين على بن على بن سمنديار قرأ القراءات وأتقن العربية، وسمع وتفقه وولى ديوان الرسائل، وكان ينسب إلي شئ من التشيُّع، حكى عنه بعض عدول بغداد حكر مجلسه بالكوفة فقال لما قال ﵇: "من كَنتُ مولاه فَعَليٌ مولاه". تغير وجه أبى بكر وعمر فنزلت: ﴿فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا﴾ (١). وكان يلبس أمام ولاته الذهب والحرير، مات سنة سبعوعشرين وستمائة عن سبع وثمانين سنة.
