١٠٩٠ - هبة اللَّه بن أحمد المعدل محدث دمشق. قال ابن عساكر: تفقه على القاضى المروزى مدَّة، لكنه لم يحكم الفقه، سمع النجيب، وعنه السلفى وابن عساكر وابن العربى المالكي، قال السلفى: كتب تاريخ الشام، مات سنة أربع وعشرين وخمسمائة عن ثمانين سنة.
