٤٨٤ - أبو طاهر الساوى عبد الرحمن بن أحمد بن عَلَكْ. أحد الأئمة من أصحابنا، ولد بأصبهان بعد الثلاثين والأربعمائة، وحمل إلى سمرقند، فتفقه بها وصحب عبد العزيز النجشى وأخذ عنه علم الحديث، سمع أبا الربيع الإيلاقى وغيره، وعنه إسماعيل بن السمرقندى وغيره، مات ببغداد سنة أربع أو خمس وثمانين وأربعمائة، وشيع جنازته نظام الملك والناصر، ولم يتبع الجنازة راكب غير نظام الملك معتذرًا لعلو السنن، وكان والده من الرؤساء المشهورين.
