٤٠٤ - على بن محمد بن عبد الصمد الشيخ علم الدين السخاوى أبو الحسن الهمدانى. شيخ العربية والقرَّاء والفقهاء في زمانه بدمشق، سمع من السلفى وحنبل وغيرهما، وقرأ على الشاطبي، وله تفسير في أربعة أجزاء وغيره في فنون القراءات، وعنه أبو شامة. مات سنة ثلاث وأربعين وستمائة، وقد نيف على السبعين ودفن بقاسيون. ومن شعره:- "قالوا غدًا نأتى ديار الحمى ... ونترك الركب بمغناهموكل من كان مطيعًا لهم ... أصبح مسرورًا بلقياهم قلت فلى ذنب فما حيلتى. بأى وجه أتلقاهم قيل أليس العفو من شأنهم ... لاسيما عن من يرجاهم".
