٢٩٥ - على بن أحمد بن الحسين أبو الحسن المقرئ الفقيه. من أهل بزد، سمع ابن شهاب وغيره، وتفقه على فخر الإسلام والفارقى وغيرهما، وصنف الكثير فقهًا وحديثًا وزهدًا، وكان من الفقهاء المتعبدين وكان له عمامة وقميص بينه وبين أخيه إذا خرج ذاك قعد هذا في البيت وبالعكس، ودخل إليه زائر فوجده عريانًا فقال: نحن إذا غسلنا ثيابنا نكون كما قال القاضى أبو الطيب الطبرى: "قوم إذا غسلوا ثياب جمالهم ... لبسوا البيوت إلى قراع الغاسل" وقيل: إنه رأى النبى ﷺ في المنام وهو يقول له: يا على صم رجبًا عندنا. فمات ليلة رجب سنة إحدى وخمسين وخمسمائة.
