٢٦٢ - إسماعيل بن الفضل أبو محمد الفُضَيلى. نسبة إلى الفضيل اسم جدِّه الهروى والد الإمام أبى عاصم الصغير، مات سنة ثلاث وثمانين وأربعمائة، ثم خلفه ولده الإمام أبو الفضل محمد فأحسن ومن شعر والده: "تعوذ أيها المسكين وإن عوفيت مما عبت فافتح للذى عافال قال" وذكر الذهبى في "العبر": أن أبا عاصم الفضيلى الفقيه واسمه الفضيل توفى سنة إحدى وسبعين وأربعمائة.
