    ٢٢٨ - عبد الملك بن إبراهيم بن أحمد أبو الفضل الهمدانى الفرضي. المعروف بالمقدسى، سكن بغداد إلى حين وفاته، وكان إماما عالمًا ورعًا زاهدا، قال ابن عقيل الحنبلى: لم أر فيمن رأيت استجمع فيه شرائط الاجتهاد إلا أبا يعلى الفراء وابن الصباغ وعبد الملك بن إبراهيم. له الفرائض المشهورة، والفتاوى، ومنها: أنه لا حضانه للعمياء وهى: عزيزه في النقل. إمتنع من القضاء، وكان يحفظ المجمل وغريب أبى عبيد، سمع وحدث، ولم يعرف أنه اغتاب أحدًا قطّ. وقيل: إنه كان على مذهب المعتزلة. قال ولده أبو الحسن محمد في "تاريخه": توفى سنة سبع وثمانين وأربعمائة، وقد قارب الثمانين ولم يكن يخبر بمولده.
