٢١٣ - على بن أحمد بن محمد بن محمد بن على الواحدى النيسابورى. من أولاد النجار، أصلهم من سادة، وكان واحد عصره وإمام وقته في التفسير وهو صاحب "البسيط"، و"الوجيز"، و"الوسيط" في التفسير، وبهذه الأسماء سمّى حجة الإسلام كتبه الثلاثة، أخذ التفسير عن أبى إسحاق الثعلبى والعربية عن أبى الحسن القنهلاى الضرير، وسمع أبا بكر الحيرى وغيره، مات بنيسابور في جمادى الآخرة سنة ثمان وستين وأربعمائة، ومن تصانيفه أيضًا "الدعوات" و"المغازى"، و"أسباب النزول"، و"شرح ديوان المتنبى"، وغير ذلك، وله شعر حسن.
