٢٣٦ - وإسماعيل بن مسلم المكى (١) ليس بشئ، أصله بصرى، وهو مخزومى (٢). وسئل عنه ابن المدينى، فقيل له: كيف كان أول أمره؟ ، قال: لم يزل مختلطًا، كان يحدثنا بالحديث الواحد على ثلاثة ضروب (٣)، قال: وسمعت يحيى بن سعيد، وقيل له فى إسماعيل بن مسلم، وقيل: بشر بن منصور يسقط شهادته. قال يحيى: نعم أسقط شهادته سبعون إنسانًا.
