الحسين بن عليّ بن إبراهيم بن عبد الله، المعروف بالكاغديّ البصريّ (١). كان فقيها متكلّما عالي القدر، نبيه الذّكر، على مذهب أبي حنيفة. له من الكتب: كتاب نقض كلام ابن الرّاوندي (٢)، وكتاب نقض كتاب الرازي (٣)، وكتاب الجواب عن مسألة (٤) الرامهرمزي، وكتاب الكلام في أنّ الله تعالى لم يزل موجودا، وكتاب الإيمان، وكتاب الأقدار (٥)، وكتاب المعرفة. وتوفّي بمدينة السلام في سنة تسع وستين وثلاث مائة.
