أحمد بن محمد بن الحسن، أبو عليّ المرزوقيّ الأصبهانيّ (٥). كان غاية في الذّكاء والفطنة وحسن التصنيف والأخبار، وتصانيفه لا مزيد عليها (٦). وقد قرأ على أبي عليّ الفارسيّ كتاب سيبويه. وله من الكتب: كتاب شرح أشعار الحماسة (٧)، وكتاب شرح المفضّليات، وكتاب شرح الفصيح (٨)، وكتاب شرح هذيل، وكتاب الأزمنة (٩)،وكتاب شرح الموجز، وكتاب شرح النّحو. /٧٢/ وكان يعلّم أولاد بني بويه بأصبهان. ومات في ذي الحجة من سنة إحدى وعشرين وأربع مائة.
