أحمد بن عليّ بن أبي جعفر محمد بن أبي صالح أحمد ابن البيهقي، أبو منصور المقرئ اللّغوي (١٠).وله تصانيف، منها: كتاب المحيط بلغات القرآن، وكتاب ينابيع اللّغة، جرّد فيه صحاح اللّغة من الشواهد، وهو كبير الحجم يقرب حجمه من الصّحاح، وكتاب شرح كتاب الغاية في القراءات لابن مهران (١)، وكتاب تاج المصادر، وكتاب المحيط بعلم القراءات، ذكره ابن السّمعانيّ وقال: مات في سلخ شهر رمضان من سنة أربع وأربعين وخمس مائة.
