أحمد بن حاتم، أبو نصر الباهليّ (٥). صاحب الأصمعي، روى عنه كتبه. ذكره المرزبانيّ، وقال: مات هووأبو عبد الله ابن الأعرابيّ وعمرو بن أبي عمرو بن العلاء في سنة إحدى وثلاثين ومائتين، وقد نيّف أحمد على السبعين. وله من التصانيف: كتاب الشّجر والنبات، وكتاب اللبإ واللبن، وكتاب الإبل، وكتاب أبيات المعاني، وكتاب الاشتقاق للأسماء (١)، وكتاب الزّرع والنّخل، وكتاب الطّير، وكتاب الخيل، وكتاب ما يلحن فيه العامة، وكتاب الجراد. ولمّا مات ترك ثلاثين ألف دينار.
