أحمد بن إبراهيم بن إسماعيل بن داود بن حمدون النّديم، أبو عبد الله (٦). مصنّف الإمامية، وكان شيخ أهل اللّغة، وأستاذ أبي العباس ثعلب. وله كتب، منها: كتاب أسماء الجبال والمياه والأودية، وكتاب بني مرّة بن عوف، وكتاب بني النّمر بن قاسط (٧)، وكتاب بني عقيل، وكتاب بني عبد الله بن غطفان، وكتاب طيّئ، وكتاب شعر العجير السّلولي (٨)،وكتاب شعر ثابت (١)، وكان خصيصا بالمتوكّل.
