محمد بن موسى بن جعفر بن محمد الطاوس العلويّ (٧). ولد بالحلّة السّيفية (٨)، واشتغل بالعلم، وقرأ الأدب، وقال الشّعر، وأنشأ الرسائل. وقدم بغداد واستوطنها، وخدم في بعض الخدم الدّيوانية. وكان سخيّ النفس، ظاهر الكيس (٩). له من الكتب: رسالةالوفا في مقابل الصّفا، وكتاب رسائله، وكتاب أنس الجليس، وكتاب المدائح الفخرية (١). ومن شعره قوله: [الطويل] ذروني أمت من غير ذلّ فإنّني ... أرى الموت في عزّ النّفوس يهون أموت عزيزا لا أذلّ لحادث ... فما قدّر الرّحمن سوف يكون وهلك في موقعة أخذ بغداد في سنة ستّ وخمسين وستّ مائة ﵀.
