محمَّد بن عبد الله، أبو طاهر، الجويني.حدَّث عن: محمَّد بن محمَّد بن رجاء بن السندي أبي بكر الإسفراييني. وعنه: أبو عبد الله الحاكم في "مستدركه" (٣/ ٤٥١/ ٥٦٤٩)، وقد تصحف اسم أبيه فيه إلى "أحمد" والصواب أنه "عبد الله" كما في "الشعب" وترجمته شيخه من "تاريخ دمشق" (٥٥/ ١٦٢)، ولم يتنبه لذلك شيخنا ﵀ تعالي- فقال في حاشية "المستدرك": الظاهر أنه أبو الطيب محمَّد بن أحمد الحيري. وأما محقق "الشعب" فقال: لم أعرفه. قال مقيده -أمده الله بتوفيقه-: وبعد كتابه ما تقدم تبين لي أن صوابه: عبد الله بن محمَّد بن حمدان. وقد تقدمت ترجمته، والله الموفق.
