[٨٩٤] محمد بن سيما، أبو الحسن، القطان، النَّيْسابُوري. سمع: محمد بن عبد الله بن محمد بن شيرويه، وجعفر بن أحمد بن نصر الحصيري، وأبا العباس أحمد بن محمد الأزهري، ومحمد بن المسيب الأرغياني، وغيرهم. وعنه: أبو عبد الله الحاكم. قال الخطيب في "تاريخه": كان أبوه سيما مولى محمد بن شعيب القطان، قدم بغداد، ولا أعلمه حدث بها، لكن بنيسابور حدث، روى عنه الحاكم أبو عبد الله، وذكر أنه توفي ببغداد في سنة ثمان وأربعين وثلاثمائة. "مختصر تاريخ نيسابور" (٥١/ أ)، "تاريخ بغداد" (٥/ ٣٣٠)، "تكملة الإكمال" (٣/ ٤٧٤)، "تبصير المنتبه" (٢/ ٧٩٨).
