علي بن محمد، أبو أحمد، الأزرقي. كذا في "المستدرك" (٤/ ٦٤٩/ ٨٥٤٦)، و"إتحاف المهرة" (١٥/ ٣٠٧/ ١٩٣٦١)، قال شيخنا -رحمه الله تعالى- (٢/ ٧٦): الظاهرأنه المروزي. الحبيبي، وقد ترجمت له ولله الحمد. قلت: وما استظهره شيخنا هو عين الصواب كما في "دلائل النبوة" للبيهقي (٤/ ١٩١)، فقد قال الحاكم ﵀ تعالي-: أخبرنا أبو أحمد علي بن محمد بن عبد الله بن حبيب الأزرقي بمرو.
