    [٥٦٩] عثمان بن عمران بن الحارث بن أسد، أبو عُمر، الصُّوفي، المقدسي. سمع: الحسن بن حبيب، وخيثمة بن سليمان، وإسماعيل بن محمَّد الصَّفَّار، وأبا العباس محمَّد بن يعقوب الأصم، وأبا جعفر محمَّد بن عبد الرحمن السامي الهروي. وعنه: أبو عبد الله الحاكم. وقال في "تاريخه": سمع بالشام، وبالعراق، وبخراسان، ثم دخل بلاد خراسان، وانصرف إلى مرو، وإن آخر عهدي به في مجلس أبي العباس المحمودي بمرو سنة تسع وخمسين وثلاثمائة، ثم جاءنا نعيه وأنابنسا في هذه السنة. قلت: [صدوق له رحلة]. "مختصر تاريخ نيسابور" (٤٦/ أ)، "تاريخ دمشق" (٤٠/ ٧).
