٧٤٨ - مسعود بن يحيى من أهل المرية. قال الحضرمي: شيخنا الفقيه الجليل الأصيل الماجد الفاضل ابن الفقيه الجليل قاضي الجماعة أبي بكر يحيى، ولى القضاء بجهات شتى نائبًا عن والده ثم استقلالًا بعده، عرفنا بحاله في تأليفنا في قضاة المرية. توفى قاضيًا ليلة الخميس ثالث جمادي عام أحد وأربعين وسبعمائة وصلى عليه أبو البركات ابن الحاج. مولده بغرناطة يوم السبت الثاني والعشرين سنة ثلاث وثمانين وستمائة، وقد عرفت بأسلافه الكرام فهو قاض ابن قاض ابن قاض ابن قاض أربعة دونه على نسق -اهـ- ملخصًا.
