    ٧٣٥ - محمد البنوفري وبه عرف (٣). المصري الفقيه الصالح الزاهد الورع، من أعيان فقهائها مشهورًا بالدين والخير والورع والزهد، أخذ عن الناصع اللقاني والتاجوري وغيرهما، واتفرد أخيرًا برياسة المذهب مع شهوته يالديانة، كان، على ما قيل، يختم إقراءمختصر خليل في أربعة أشهر ويمشي لرباط اسكندرية أربعة أشهر ويحج في أربعة أشهر، هذا حاله في العام. توفي في حدود سنة ثمان وتسعين وتسعمائة.
