٧٢٤ - محمد ماغوش أبو عبد اللَّه التونسي (١). عالمها وفقيهها الإمام العلامة الكبير الحافظ المحقق المعقولي البارع، قرأ بتونس فحصل، وكان أعلم أهلها بالمعقولات، ثم لما أُخذت تونس خرج عنها، ورحل لبلد الروم، دخل اسطنبول فلقي علماءها فأثنوا عليه عند السلطان سليمان فأكرمه، وطلب منه الإقامة بها فامتنع، ورجع إلى مصر واجتمع بعلمائها وتعجبوا من درجته في الفنون فأدركته الوفاة بها في قرب ومات في حدود خمسين ظنًا، وذكر من حفظه أنه يحفظ صحيح البخاري، أخذ عنه الشيخ اليستيني الفاسي وغيره.
