٤٩٥ - محمد بن محمد بن أحمد بن عبد الرحمن. عرف بابن محرز (١). الشيخ الفقيه، الحافظ اللافظ، المحدّث المتقن، اللغوي، التاريخي. قرأ بالأندلس، ولقي بها أفاضل، وله مكارم. ثم ارتحل عنها بعد الأربعين وستمائة إلى بجاية فاستوطنها، معظّمًا عند أهلها ومكرّمًا عند الملك، روى عنه بها كثير. تقرأ عليه كتب الفقه والحديث واللغة والأدب، مجيدًا محصلًا لهذه الفنون، قيّد عنه أصحابه كثيرًا وذكر لي أن له تقييدًا على التلقين، حسن الحجج، وكان رأس الجماعة بالأندلسية، فتوفي ببجاية يوم الأحد ثامن عشر شوال سنة خمس وخمسين وستمائة. مولده في آخر جمادى سنة تسع وستين وخمسمائة. صح من عنوان الدراية.
