    ٣٧١ - عمر بن محمد التميمي (٣). شهر بالعطار الشيخ أبو حفص، قال الشيخ أبو زيد الدباغ في كتابه مناقب صالحي القيروان: هو الفقيه العالم كان من المجتهدين المبرزين وأئمةالقرويين المعدودين، انتفع به خلف كثير حتى كان يقال: الذكر لأبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن والتعلم لأبي حفص العطار، لأن أبا بكر هو شيخه وبرع عليه حتى ناهزه أو قارب، وكان موفقًا في أجوبته، لم يُرَ بالقيروان معلم أحسن تعليمًا منه ومات قبل شيخه أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن فقال الشيخ: رحمك اللَّه يا أبا حفص فقد كنت تنصرني وتكفيني كثيرًا من الفتيا، وله تعليق نبيل جدًا على المدونة أملاه سنة سبع وعشرين وسنة ثمان بعده وأربعمائة- اهـ.
