٢١٣ - ظهيرة بن محمد بن محمد بن محمد بن ظهيرة ظهير الدين أبو الفرج القرشي المكي (٢). ولد في ذي الحجة سنة إحدى وأربعين وثمانمائة [بمكة] (٣) ونشأ بها فحفظ القرآن ومختصر ابن الحاجب والرسالة، وكان ديّنًا بارعًا في الفقه والعربية، ولي قضاء المالكية بمكة بعد شيخه عبد القادر المكي سنة ثمان وستين وباشره بعفة ونزاهة ومبالغة في التأدب مع شيخه ومراعاة لخاطره، ثم انفصل عنه بعد الشهر -اهـ- من السخاوي. قال السيوطي: لما أضرّ الشيخ عبد القادر المكي أشار بتولية تلميذه ظهيرة بن أبي حامد بن ظهيرة ثم توفي ظهيرة المذكور آخر سنة ثمان وستين- اهـ.
