١٧٢ - حمزة بن محمد بن حسن البجائي المغربي نزيل الشيخونية (٣) ولد تقريبا عام تسعة وثمانمائة ببجايه وأخذ عن أبي القاسم المشذاليوولده أبي عبد اللَّه، وفد تونس في سنة ثمانية وخمسن وثمانمائة وتمهر في الأصلين والعربية والصرف والمعاني والبيان والمنطق، قدم القاهرة في شعبان سنة تسع وخمسين وثمانمائة وحج ورجع ونزل في الخانقاه الشيخونية ثم حج ثانيًا رفيقًا للسيد عبد اللَّه عفيف الدين وجاور أيضًا وأقرأ بها يسيرًا واجتمع بالكافيجي واجتمع به الفضلاء فكان من أعيان من اجتمع به المحبي ابن تقيّ والخطيب الوزيري. صح من السخاوي. وقال الداودي: توفي في المحرم سنة اثنتين وتسعمائة. صح من ذيل القرافي.
