    ٥٢٩٩ - معين الدّين ذو النّون بن عمران بن الحصين بن الواسطي الفقيه. قال: نظر طفيليّ (١) إلى قوم ذاهبين في وجه فلم يشكّ أنّهم متوجّهون إلى وليمة فقام وتبعهم فاذا هم شعراء قد قصدوا باب السّلطان بمدائح معهم فدخل معهم فأنشد كلّ منهم مديحه، وأخذ جائزته وخرجوا، ولم يبق [غير] الطّفيليّ، فقيل له: أنشد ما معك. فقال: لست بشاعر. قيل: فمن أنت: قال: من الغاوين الّذين قال الله تعالى في حقّهم: ﴿وَالشُّعَراءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ الْغاوُونَ﴾ (٢) فضحك السّلطان وأمر له بصلة.
