(١) كتبت من خطّه: فان يكسني ربّي كساء وجبّة ... أصلّ وأعبده إلى آخر الدهر وإن لم يكن إلاّ بقايا عباءة ... مخرّقة مالي على البرد من صبر وفي المعنى: إليك اعتذاري من صلاتي قاعدا ... على غير طهر ماضيا نحو قبلتي فما لي ببرد الماء يا ربّ طاقة ... ورجلاي لا تقوى على ثني ركبتي ولكنني أحصيه جهدي وطاقتي ... وأقضيه إمّا عشت في وقت صيفتي فإن أنا لم أفعل فأنت مسلّط ... بما شئت من صفعي ومن نتف لحيتي
