(٢)كان جميل الصورة، حسن السيرة، محبوبا إلى الناس، كريم الأخلاق، له خيرات على الصوفيّة والفقراء، يحبّ الاجتماع بهم ويحضر السماع معهم، وكان يحفظ كثيرا من الأخبار والأشعار، من ذلك ما أنشده: وفي المشيب لو أني كنت منزجرا ... عن الصبى والتصابي كلّ منزجر لا عذر للمرء في حال المشيب إذا ... لم يثن ناظره عن فتنة النظر
