(٢) من بيت الإمارة والسلطنة، وكان المسعود ذكيا عالما متمرسا بعلمالأوائل والحكمة والفلسفة وأنواع الفنون والهندسة، وهو الذي أهدى إلى الصاحب جمال الدّين يحيى بن عيسى بن مطروح المصري (١) كرة غريبة الصنعة فكتب إليه جمال الدّين: لنا ملك يجود بكلّ ... ما يحوي ويمتلك أقلّ عطائه الدّنيا ... وبعض هباته الفلك
