٤٩٤٢ - المستظهر بالله أبو المطرّف عبد الرحمن بن هشام بن عبد الجبّار الأموي الخليفة بالمغرب. (١) أم أمّ ولد تسمّى عانة، مولده ... بويع له بالخلافة لثلاث عشرة ليلة خلت من رمضان سنة أربع عشرة وأربعمائة وله اثنتان وعشرون سنة، ذكره عليّ بن بسّام في كتاب الذخيرة وقال: كان لبقا ذكيّا وأديبا لوذعيا، وكانت مدّة خلافته بقرطبة شهر واحد وسبعة عشر يوما، قال الفقيه أبو محمد بن حزم (٢): ثلاث رشحوا للخلافة فماتوا في أربعين يوما: عبد الرحمن المستظهر وسليمان بن المرتضى ومحمد ابن العراقي (٣)، وقتل المستظهر لثلاث خلون لذي القعدة سنة أربع عشرة وأربعمائة.
